F.A.Q.

Who are you?

I am a small town southern girl with a desire to serve the global community, specifically the unreached and unengaged peoples of the world. Find out more on the ‘About Me‘ page.

Why are you going?

Romans 10:14 begs the question, how can they believe if they have not heard? How are they to hear without someone telling them? How can we tell them if we are not sent? The Great Commission commands us to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach in the name of the Father. (All paraphrase mine.) My passion is to plant churches among people groups that have little to no access to the gospel and to disciple those who have put their faith in Jesus.

Where are you serving?

Samaria Mission is based out of a local church in Polokwane, South Africa but works primarily in the Gaza province of Mozambique.

And why did you chose Samaria Mission?

You can read the answer here.

What are you going to do?

I will be serving with Samaria Mission, which is a faith ministry of Christ Baptist Church in Polokwane, South Africa. Primarily I will (1) further their church planting efforts through administration and logistics, (2) seek to better formulate their children’s ministry training program to better equip short-term outreach teams, and (3) disciple high school and middle school girls within the youth ministry of Christ Baptist.

When are you leaving? And when are you returning?

I am schedule to fly out of the States on 16 January 2012 and plan to return around Christmas in 2013.

Will you visit the States during your two years?

Due to the high cost of travel back and forth, I will most likely not return to the States unless there is a family emergency.

How are you paying for this?

I have to raise 100% of my personal financial support before leaving the States. Through partnerships with individuals and churches, these funds will pay for my living expenses and ministry fund. By giving to this project, you are partnering with me to provide training to local pastors to continue the work in their neighboring villages, along with the one-on-one discipleship to middle school and high school girls. Let’s get together and chat! I would love to have you on my team.
